Race Play may be one of the most controversial types of play that exists within our community today. Whenever the topic comes up people are quick to have an opinion, and those opinions are oftentimes strong. Conversations on the topic are often not long, and have the potential to come to a very emotional end.

Controversial Kink exists, to provide a space where we as kinksters can sit down and have a longer, more in-depth conversation about race play. This class is intended to start discussions and provide information on a type of play that does not often have long conversions attached to it. It is the end goal of this class that participants leave with a deeper understanding and an informed opinion about race, and how it is played with in this community.

This course offers a unique opportunity to blend critical thinking skills with BDSM practices, focusing on empowering bottoms and submissives to navigate their roles with confidence, safety, and informed consent. The strategies and techniques you will learn here will enhance critical analysis and decision-making skills. Recognizing when a dominant or play partner uses fallacious reasoning can alert you to potential red flags in their approach to respect for boundaries, their skill level, and the quality of their ethics.

Kink teaches us to go deep and be brave in exploring our curiosity, pleasures, vulnerabilities, and strengths, and honor one another through practicing mutual respect, clear communication, and enthusiastic consent. Kink opens wide our hearts, minds, and bodies and invites greater breadth in our play, deeper intimacy, and a better understanding of who we each are.

Kink also teaches us resiliency, and for the last two years, we all were put to the test. Loss, isolation, uncertainty were ever-present, sometimes overwhelmingly so, and yet, we continue to persevere. We’re still here, the Boundless community—our community—your community.
