Class Description
How many times has it been said, “Long distance relationships are too hard and never work”?
Regardless of their current relationship status, workshop participants will be invited to examine their own thoughts, values, and practices that can support and/or undermine long distance D/s (and other kinds of) relationships. Participants will be offered (and invited to share their own) potential guiding frameworks as well as pragmatic tools to help foster healthy and fulfilling D/s dynamics across the miles.
Note: This workshop was specifically designed to be online! My girl and I are in a 24/7 Differently Connected relationship so when the pandemic hit we realized that lots of people were struggling and maybe the things we’ve learned along the way would be helpful.
Presenter Bio
Patty (she/her) is a butch leatherdyke from Toronto who has taken a few trips around Kinky Block and is honoured to hold the title of International Ms Leather 2014. In addition to regularly presenting on various kink related topics, she has also emceed and spoken at a host of leather events. When not doing these things, she plays as hard as she works and is a huge fan of dangerous things wrapped in pretty packages.
Shilo (she/her) is an accomplished visual artist whose work has been exhibited internationally and she is proud to have been the IMsLBB Director of Photography from 2014-2020. In addition to being featured in a number of publications, her photography is also in the permanent collection at the Kinsey Institute. Passionate about the Hanky Code and Femme Visibility, Shilo notably created Femme Flagging Flowers under the KinkyCraft banner and now presents on flagging history and culture.
Patty & Shilo are intentionally in a multifaceted, Differently Connected (aka long distance) relationship that spans two countries. As a couple, they teach on both the relational and play/bdsm dimensions of being in Differently Connected D/s relationships.
