Boundless Oakland Happy Hour (May 2024)

Mad Oak Bar ‘N’ Yard 135 12th Street, Oakland, CA, United States

Lost Sock Memorial Day, celebrated annually on May 9, honors all the socks that are no longer with us. Where did they go? We are not certain but what we do know is that losing one sock of a perfectly-matched pair is a wide-spread phenomenon. So much so that we have a day on which to honor those socks we have loved and lost. So come celebrate with us as we gather for the Boundless Oakland Happy Hour.

Grab a fork and a napkin, because Apple Pie day is coming this May 13. Talk about a holiday you can really sink your teeth into! Apple pie has been around since the Middle Ages. A Dutch cookbook dated 1514 lists a recipe for Appeltaerten. In the 17th century, apple pie was finally brought to the American colonies. So on May 13th, we're going to be celebrating Apple Pie Day at the Boundless Sacramento Happy Hour.

Come join fellow BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color) friends and family as we host the Boundless BIPOC Munch. The munch will be a safe space to chat, catch-up, and meet old and new friends alike. Our goal is to create an inviting environment that invites all Black, Indigenous, and People of Color to not only be present but to also be centered, honored and restored for the gifts we bring to the world and the labor we do to SHOW UP in spaces without privilege.
